The Adventures of "Best Friend"

Reliving history in Bismarck, ND.

wpe5.jpg (173193 bytes) We launched at Bismarck on August 17th, 2004 wpe7.jpg (161125 bytes) First time for a keelboat to be in this part of the Missouri in 200 Years.
wpe9.jpg (222718 bytes) Later that day we headed up stream. wpeB.jpg (162278 bytes) On the third day we were still working out a way around snags and sand bars up stream toward our camp.
wpe3.jpg (226057 bytes) We laid over on a sandbar for a while until the wind let up a bit. wpe13.jpg (296337 bytes) Then we took out again, destination Rheumatism Camp.

And of course “Best Friend” although her name plates were temporarily removed as she stood in for another unnamed keelboat long gone.
